Group Announcements  Tutors and Teachers WRITING CENTER OPENS FOR 2011-2012Thanks to all this year's Writing Center Tutors for helping us begin the year with an Opening Celebration, and to our Flex 1/2 Tutors for officially opening the Center on 10.27 for the first day of tutoring.
"Words, words, words. . . ." Shakespeare, Hamlet  Writing Center SchedulingThis year, there is no "sign-up" in advance for the Writing Center.
STUDENTS: If you want to come for help with a writing assignment or more generally with your writing, choose a flex period that works for you, ask your teacher if you may leave class to come to the Center and also to write you a pass. Bring your pass to the Writing Center. Sign in, and work with a tutor. If there are no tutors available, you will have to go back to class and try another day:) TEACHERS: If you want to send a student for help, just write a pass to the Writing Center, either in advance or at the start of your flex period. Because it helps the tutors if they know from you what you want students to work on, it is best if you take a minute to fill out the Teacher Referral Form, available below under Group Files. At the end of each flex, a tutor will send a general email listing all tutors and tutees who were in the WC during that period. jfg. 10.20.11 Group Files
